A competitive analysis is a comparison of results from multiple user studies. We perform studies with your product as well as with one or more competing products and deliver a comprehensive analysis comparing the usability of each product.
This type of analysis can be very useful in the middle of your development cycle to give you a clear idea of how your product compares to the competition. It can be even more valuable at the end of the cycle to give you empirical data showing whether or not your product is easier to use than your competitors' products. If so, not only have you confirmed the value of all your hard work, you also have very powerful marketing information to show your customers.
As with our user study products, Furiant offers two basic levels of competitive analysis.
Our small-scale competitive analysis involves a user study for your product and a user study for one or more competing products, each involving 3-5 users. This typically takes 3-5 weeks, including preparation, running the studies, analyzing the information, and preparing the deliverable report. Our quote for a small-scale competitive analysis depends on parameters related to the specifics of your analysis needs as well as the number of competing products involved.
Our extended competitive analysis involves a user study for your product and a user study for one or more competing products, each involving 10 or more users. The total number of users and the size of the study depend on the scale of interaction required to use each product as well as your specific analysis needs. These studies take 5 or more weeks to complete.
